SMLE No 23 GRENADE CRADLE LAUNCHER

 

Used in mid world war one by british troops to launch No 23 grenades (Grenade has rod attached to base plug) from an short magazine lee enfield.

SMLE bayonet holds cradle in place. The top loop of the cradle holds the spoon while the operator pulls the pin prior to firing a blank charge to launch the grenade.
